Distinguished Anteater Award

Dear Fellow Anteater:

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! I cannot express how proud I am of you and your accomplishments.

You may not realize this, but your time here at UC Irvine has helped add to the history of the campus. Everything you have done while on campus has helped the campus grow and evolve to become one of the best universities in the nation. UC Irvine is a top-tier public university (U.S. News & World Report) because of the success of students like you. The legacy that you will leave behind will help inspire the next generation of Anteaters.

I invite you to leave your mark on the campus by supporting the 2008 Senior Class Gift. The Distinguished Anteater Award will be awarded to one or more very deserving students in recognition of their academic accomplishments and campus leadership efforts  In honor of your graduation year, I am asking members of the Class of 2008 to give just $20.08. Even though your donation will cost less than a half of tank of gas, you will help drive a fellow Anteater to success!

For each dollar you give, UCI alumni have committed to donate an additional dollar up to $10,000! This doubles the value of your gift and helps more Anteaters to be honored with a Distinguished Anteater Award. As a result, your gift of $20.08 will double to $40.16!

Last year, the Class of 2007 raised $4,100 for its class gift. Let’s do even better this year and raise $6,000! This goal will allow us to award four scholarships and change the lives of four Anteaters forever!
